Our Staff

Kaelynn Snyder is the Editor-in-Chief of Howler Literary Magazine. She loves all fiction and creative nonfiction, but is open to all genres! There are only two places you’d see her: a local bookstore or home with her dogs. She cannot wait to read all of your art!

Gracie Hutchison is the General Manager of Howler Literary Magazine. You can find her with an open book and a cup of tea. She especially enjoys creative nonfiction and historical fiction. She joined Howler to be in a community of people who love writing as much as she does.

Alaina Kass is the submission editor for Howler Literary Magazine. She is a lover of all things creative nonfiction as well as photography and poetry. You will usually find her watching the Phillies, and she will always be down to go to a concert. She is so excited to see everyone’s work!

Kaitlin Jeuch is the Co-Design Editor for the Howler Literary Magazine, who is always working on all things visual and is desperately trying to grab your attention with pretty colors. She usually gravitates towards creative nonfiction and poetry for her own writing, but loves reading all genres. If you ever see her around, please hesitate. She is afraid of you. Despite that, she is more than happy to see your art and will be practically vibrating at a frequency that could shatter glass just waiting to finally review your pieces.

Jackson Kim is the Co-Design Editor for Howler Literary Magazine and has a love for everything art-related. In his free time, you could find him drawing, painting, or practicing his photography.

Amanda Okwara is the Website Designer of Howler Literary Magazine. She loves programming and writing short poetry and stories.

T’yanna Blackshear is an editor for Howler Literary Magazine and is known for her comical character. She sways hearts left and right with her funny cues, but her emotional writing style makes her bright personality a little more nuanced. Exciting and chaotic are words that are often used to describe her, so read a couple of pieces of hers and see if it’s true.

Heather Ellis is an associate editor for Howler Literary Magazine. Heather normally writes poems and short stories. You can usually find her watching hockey or reading.

Lauren Mawson is a member of the Howler Literary Magazine. She has had a passion for writing ever since the age of six. When she is not writing she enjoys tennis, reading, and getting photobombed by birds.

Arthur Brown is an editor for Howler Literary Magazine and has many different passions he partakes in, including worldbuilding for his many fictional projects. He loves nature and anything biology-related. He plays D&D, draws digitally and traditionally, as well as plays video games competitively. He writes poetry occasionally, which you may see here at some point.

Chloe Tomlinson is a junior at Neshaminy High School and an editor for Howler Literary Magazine. Writing is her lifeforce. She has been writing since she could hold a pencil and conceptualize images beyond herself, struck by the realms pretty words and symbols could take her to.

Liora Gutman is an editor who is excited to begin her first year as a part of the Howler Literary Magazine. She loves spending time reading a good book, writing whatever comes to mind (especially poetry), playing the clarinet, and singing.

Chloe Xie, someone who’s sanity is constantly slipping out of her hands like sand, is a part time writer and artist who thinks harder than actually committing to finishing something. With a thousand (and likely more..) works in progress, she joins the Howler Literary club as a novice writer. Divulging into her interests, she enjoys the color theory of art, terrible TV, and the art of FREE WILL. Also, tennis occasionally despite her lack of hand and eye and feet—and anything in regards to coordination. You tossed the ball to her? She tried picking it up and it slipped out of her hands like eight times. Maybe she’ll get it again the next time. (She doubts it. She’ll never catch it next time.)

Gunnar Schmid is an entrant staff member of Howler Literary, and local cryptid at Neshaminy. He is an avid enthusiast of surreal or psychological fiction, mature animation, and horror media. At Howler, his greatest interest lies in short stories designed to have you thinking long after you finish the last sentence. It’s important to note that he is NOT unhinged and can be trusted with writing materials.
