blistered greenery

blistered greenery

forest floor with open doors etched into brunette bark

cutting through a heavy darkness, shadows stretched over

broken twine & twigs & heavenly hymns watered down

by the end of the stream, the sound of spring torn

limb from limb, an autumn orange, then greenery

stinging overhead, a challenge down by the bottom

of the scene, cleaned & it all seemed to be

overcome with silence

trimmed to the rim of a blistered green,

guidance & unseen, clinging to the brush

& flush of salt-water & lambs in slaughter

the dam has broken, followed by a rush of daughtered

foamy water
